Miracles in the Missões

Hey Yáll!

This week has been a crazy good one! My new companion Sister Cruz-Souza arrives on Tuesday! She is so amazing!!! One of the hardest workers I have ever met! She has lost 100 pounds, 46-kilos here on the mission! She is a true inspiration, and a really lovely person.
We have had a lot of miracles this week! We made contact with a girl who was about 14, and usually the people aren’t very receptive, but she said “you can come to my house, my mom and I will be waiting!” She said it like 4 times! It was so crazy! You guys; that just doesn’t happen!
On Thursday we decided to go explore a part of our area that I had never been. We arrived in the neighborhood missões and decided to start knocking doors. I asked Sister Cruz-Souza, what road we should take, and we decided on one and off we went. We knocked 4 doors. Of those 4 doors, 3 of them let us in to teach a lesson, and the other was a member! Wow!
I know that the Lord truly directs this work. He puts us in a position where we cant do anything except go forward with faith! You never know what will happen when you put your trust in the Lord, but he will direct your paths!
Congrats Ash and Kyle! I am beyond happy for you guys!
Until next week!

Reese’s

This week has been an interesting and lovely one!

Something funny that happened was that the elders in our ward gave us some Reese’s, and we were like, whats up? They were acting suspicious, and so we asked them, and they cracked! Haha! They had found 40 packets of Reese’s in the dumpster near their house, and took them home, and found out that they were past date, but still good! It was so funny! For the entire week they brought Reese’s to lunch as dessert! It was so great! The crazy thing is that Reese’s is not a common candy here! It was total luck!
We had a young man teaching with us this week that is leaving for a mission in Japan! It was so cool to see the fresh desire that comes when you get your mission call! I got to reflect a lot on how much you learn change and grow on the mission, not that you were a bad person before, but that you gain more. You learn so much!
So yesterday we had a special treat! We got to talk to our families! It was fathers day here in Brazil, and they let us talk to our fathers! I cant even express how grateful I am for my family! I love them so much, and they are what keep me going! Ammon is about to receive his mission call, and everything is changing! I love hear the great things that are happening!
I also had the opportunity to read the talk Opposition in all things by Dallin H Oaks; it explains why we have a necessity for trials!
I love you! Till next week!

The Big 6

Hey guys! Guess what! I officially have 6 months as a missionary! Can you believe it?!?!?! Me Neither! It is so crazy how fast time flies by! I feel like it was just last month when I was preparing to serve! This work is truly amazing, and I know the Lord loves His children! My companion also hit the 1 year mark! She was so excited! I made brownies for her! She loved it! Haha!

We have been working a bunch with less actives, and new members.
We ran into a woman the other day, made contactunnamed-1unnamed-2unnamed-3unnamed-4, and got her address, and it went really well! totally normal, and guess what! the next day we were talking with a less active who gave us a reference of her friend! Who was the same woman!!! It was so crazy! I know that Heavenly Father is preparing these people to hear the gospel!
He really has a plan all worked out that we just need to follow his direction.
I love you!
