Slapped?

Howdy y’all! This week was thanksgiving! And… I completely forgot! Can you believe it?!?! I was so pumped for thanksgiving, and I ended up forgetting! That day we had a conference with Elder Costa, the area president of Brasil. It was really spiritual, and I learned a lot about how I can be a better missionary, and how we work better as a dupla, and follow the spirit,

So Sunday was pretty crazy! When in the gospel principles class, I was sitting next to a recent convert, and her daughter of 30-ish years who lives in the area of the Elders. When all of the sudden, her daughter leans over and tries to slap me in the face, and the mom grabs her had and forces it down, and restrains her. I was in complete shock and confusion! It was the craziest thing ever! I almost got slapped in the face!!! Afterwards the daughter of 30 years leans over and says “I’m sick” “I have a problem” and the mom said that the only thing that has helped her calm down is the gospel, and that itnov-28-1nov-28-2nov-28-3 has changed their lives. It was really cool, but at the same I was still in shock that I almost got slapped in the face at church of all places! After church we had dinner with a couple who are returned missionaries. It was really cool! They were able to give us a whole bunch of advice! Can you believe that they do weekly planning?!?!
After dinner, when we left it started to rain a little, and by a little I mean a lot! So we were really close to a referral that we received from the day that we went to the cemetery, that was made by our zone leaders, so we went to their house, and arrived completely soaked! Completely. To our surprise they let us in! It was a Christmas miracle! We had an amazing lesson that was really spiritual!
I love this work! I love my savior, and I love being a missionary! It is a once in a lifetime opportunity! I know without a doubt that the lord leads and guides everything that we do.
